Promoting literacy and e-learning for marginalized communities

EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Educational Scholarship is given to the underprivileged children between the age group of 6 to 12 years residing in the slum and rural areas. This year 18 students of class 1st to 4th are given by the hands of President of LACIT in the month of June 2022. The parents who are daily wagers find it difficult to bear the expenses of children education kit, like school uniform, shoes, ties, socks, books, notebooks tiffin box. This scholarship help them reduce their financial burden. A simple general knowledge written test is conducted and the winners are awarded with prizes to boost their confidence in studies. The prizes were handed over to the winners by the President of LACIT Mr. Sunil Jonathan in the presence of the parents and the trustees in a small function.

Love & Care India Trust (LACIT) has been working for social development since 2006. The organization is engaged in the welfare and empowerment of rural, tribal, and urban underprivileged populations, including adolescent boys and girls, youth, women, and the elderly, through educational, health, and developmental initiatives. In your village, if children from underprivileged families aged 1 to 7 years and girls aged 5 to 16 years have dropped out of school, they can be educated at our Child Development Center. Additionally, programs related to mental health and substance abuse awareness will be conducted at the community level.

BALVIKAS KENDRA

Song is a popular medium of entertainment and interaction to child to child learning activities. A musical team of our 5 children named Child bird was engaged in child to child learning & developmental activities. 5 such a programs were organized in 5 special care school. Total 467 children benefitted.

Motivating & Associating Children development through film show

Film is a strong medium in the field of development communication. Through films show child were informed and motivated about the responsibility of every child in their school. 3 film show programs were shown during school education. A success of this program that all 100% students were present. Total 762 children benefitted.

SCHOLARSHIP TO CHILDREN

To help support the underprivileged children for education the Educational Scholarship is one of the earmarked programme of LACIT. This year on 8th June 2023, the scholarship amounting to Rs. 1000/- each is given to 18 students of the rural area to purchase school uniforms, shoes, socks, tiffin box and compass box. This time we selected the children of widows, fram labourers and daily wagers. A test on mathematics was conducted wherein the 6 winner children were awarded with small scholarship to boost their confidence.

The Isasani village under Nagpur Rural, recently witnessed a burst of energy and enthusiasm as rural children gathered for a day of sports and games. Organized by LACIT, the event aimed to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy competition among youngsters. Excited children, clad in colorful attire, participated in various events such as sprint races, relay runs, and traditional games like bursting the ballon, three legged race, crossing the Jordan river etc. The rustic surroundings of the village provided an ideal backdrop for the festivities, with lush green fields and cheering crowds fueling the athletes' spirits.

TREE PLANTATION

As part of our education programs, we conduct tree plantation drives in schools to teach children the importance of the environment. Through this initiative, kids learn about nature, sustainability, and responsibility while actively participating in planting and nurturing trees. By engaging in hands-on activities, children develop a deeper connection with nature, fostering a sense of environmental awareness from an early age. Our goal is to inspire young minds to care for the planet and contribute to a greener, healthier future!
